For many of us, December is defined by twinkly lights, iridescent-colored ornaments and the same nine Christmas carols played over and over again on the radio. I can't easily imagine a vacation without kids, so I suppose my fellow travelers would have to include my husband and two boys (ages 14 and 16.) There's something for everyone in this list and, if one item doesn't appeal to the boys – or the adults, for that matter – there's an alternative nearby.
